etransmedia signs prominent NY Orthopedic group

August 15, 2005, Troy NY - etransmedia is pleased to announce a Revenue Cycle Management contract with a prominent Orthopedic group based in New York State. 

A very established and well-known orthopedic group faced stagnant revenues despite a strong patient load which was the highest of their three decade history.  The group was referred to etransmedia by an orthopedic surgery practice newly reinvigorated by etransmedia's Medical Records Management solutions.  etransmedia's analysis team explored the stagnation causes.  One of the largest problems facing this group was the failure to utilize new technology.  This failure extended beyond the inability to submit claims electronically; the group was operating blind due to their lack of analysis tools.  The practice used a manual, labor intensive system with many errors, and consequently a high number of rejected claims.
