etransmedia announces acquisition of leading Pittsburgh area

medical billing company

July 10, 2008, Troy, NY - etransmedia announces the acquisition of Professional Billing Group (PBG), New Castle, PA based RCM company. PBG has provided premium full service revenue cycle management solutions to the healthcare industry in the Pittsburgh and Cleveland areas since the early 1990's. PBG services more than 150 practices and more than four hundred physicians as clients.

With this acquisition, Etransmedia now has access to a larger geography and more customers in the Pittsburgh and Cleveland areas. PBG will provide a solid platform for the introduction of Etransmedia’s industry-leading Electronic Medical Record solutions and services to the Pittsburgh and Cleveland area. The full portfolio of Etransmedia products will be available to PBG’s customers immediately, while a large scale product launch into this region is expected to commence before the end of the summer.

The newly acquired company will be run by a management team comprised of Etransmedia and PBG personnel, with Vikram Agrawal, President and CEO, and Vikash Agrawal, Chairman, providing assistance and strategic oversight. This acquisition provides a number of benefits for etransmedia, including: proven, reliable revenue cycle management experience and infrastructure, increased presence in western Pennsylvania and Ohio, and an extremely valuable client base from which to pursue further cross-selling opportunities.
